Main Frequency Furnace Transformer

The main frequency furnace transformer is a dedicated power transformer engineered for coreless line-frequency (mains-frequency) induction furnaces. Operating directly on standard 50/60 Hz grid power, it enables efficient metal melting through electromagnetic induction for a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous applications. Designed with a focus on efficiency, stability, and reliability, it is the robust power conversion heart for foundries producing high-grade cast iron, ductile iron, steel, and various non-ferrous alloys.

Description

Product Features

Direct Line-Frequency Operation

Designed to work directly with standard utility frequency (50/60 Hz), eliminating the need for complex and costly intermediate frequency converters, simplifying the system architecture and improving overall reliability.

High Efficiency & Stable Operation

Engineered with a low impedance voltage and a "stiff" or flat volt-ampere characteristic, ensuring highly efficient power transfer and stable molten bath conditions with minimal voltage fluctuations under varying load.

Steady Load Profile

Specifically designed for the relatively stable load profile of induction melting (without the extreme overload demands of arc furnaces), allowing for optimized material use and thermal design.

Proven & Reliable Construction

Shares the robust, time-tested structural design principles of power transformers of equivalent rating, ensuring high mechanical integrity, ease of maintenance, and long service life in industrial environments.

Customized Voltage Control

Offers tailored off-circuit or on-load tap-changing solutions with adjustment ranges specific to induction melting process requirements, providing the necessary control over melting power and rate.

Tap Changer / Regulation Customized Off-Circuit (OCTC) or On-Load (OLTC) Tap Changer with process-specific voltage range.
Cooling Method Typically Oil-Immersed (ONAN/ONAF) for effective cooling.
Note: Specific values for rated capacity, secondary voltage, and impedance are determined based on the paired furnace's melting capacity and coil design.

Packaging, Warranty & Certifications
 Packaging:
The transformer is prepared for industrial shipping. It is securely mounted on a heavy-duty steel skid base. The tank is sealed with an inert gas blanket (nitrogen) for protection. External components are carefully packed to prevent transit damage.

 Warranty:
We offer a standard 12-month warranty from successful commissioning or 18 months from shipment, covering material and workmanship defects under normal operation.

 Certifications & Testing:
Manufactured under a certified quality management system. Designed and tested in accordance with relevant IEC and GB standards for power and special application transformers. Each unit undergoes comprehensive routine testing (ratio, resistance, impedance, loss, dielectric tests). Special tests like temperature rise tests can be conducted.

 Technical Support:
We provide full documentation and engineering support for system integration to ensure optimal performance with your main frequency furnace.
