The Furnace Series transformer represents our engineered solution for the demanding power supply needs of industrial furnace operations. More than standard power transformers, these units are designed to withstand the extreme electrical, magnetic, thermal, and mechanical stresses unique to various furnace types. From arc and ladle furnaces for steelmaking to submerged arc furnaces for ferroalloys and induction furnaces, our transformers are optimized for specific load characteristics, process cycles, and energy efficiency goals, ensuring reliable, economical, and high-performance operation tailored to your exact metallurgical or thermal process.
Product Features
• Process-Optimized Designs
Custom-engineered for specific furnace applications including Arc Furnaces, LF Refining Furnaces, Submerged Arc Furnaces (SAF) for Ferroalloy/Silicon/CaC2, DC Arc Furnaces, and Induction Furnaces, ensuring perfect alignment with load profiles and operational technology.
• Patented “Figure-8” Winding Technology (For Arc Furnace Models)
Features an integrated, dual low-voltage winding in a unique "Figure-8" configuration, eliminating complex inter-winding connections. This design, combined with a separate regulation winding, ensures excellent amp-turn balance and superior short-circuit withstand capability.
• Wide-Range & Efficient Voltage Regulation
Utilizes on-load tap changers (OLTC) for step-grade secondary voltage adjustment, precisely matching the melting, refining, and tapping stages of furnace operation. Allows for the direct connection of high-voltage grids (e.g., 110kV) to the furnace, eliminating intermediate substations and saving over 30% in infrastructure costs.
• High Efficiency & Loss Reduction
Incorporates advanced technologies like counter-parallel connections and electromagnetic shielding to minimize stray losses. Exemplified by our 31.5MVA/110kV model achieving 13-26% reductions in load loss, no-load loss, and no-load current compared to previous designs, offering significant energy savings.
• Enhanced Operational Economy & Safety
Enables the use of cost-effective, long-life low-voltage circuit breakers on the tertiary side instead of expensive HV breakers. Designed to operate at constant flux density for material optimization and is compatible with power factor correction capacitors.
• Robust & Reliable Construction
Built with reinforced clamping structures and subjected to rigorous design validation for electric, thermal, and short-circuit forces, ensuring maximum uptime in harsh industrial environments.

Packaging, Warranty & Certifications
Packaging:
These large, critical units are prepared for heavy transport. The core and windings are securely positioned with “six-side rigid locating” inside the tank. The transformer is shipped filled with processed oil under a nitrogen blanket. Detachable coolers, conservators, and control cabinets are individually crated. The main tank is mounted on a heavy-duty steel skid designed for rolling, lifting, and sea freight.
Warranty:
We offer a robust 12-month warranty from the date of commissioning or 18 months from shipment, whichever comes first. This covers defects in materials and workmanship, with extended support available for critical components like the OLTC.
Certifications & Testing:
Our manufacturing is ISO 9001 certified. Designs comply with GB, IEC, and IEEE standards (e.g., IEC 60076, IEEE C57.18.10 for furnace transformers). Each unit undergoes a comprehensive test regime including routine tests (ratio, resistance, loss, impedance, dielectric) and crucial special tests such as temperature rise, short-circuit withstand (if specified), and harmonic loss analysis.
